Happy Thanksgiving!

Early October, crisp cool mornings, and the changing fall colours - this is such a beautiful time of year, and this weekend we celebrate Thanksgiving!

This traditional holiday is typically marked with a delicious turkey dinner enjoyed with friends and family. Thanksgiving feels different this year however. and with the ongoing pandemic we are being asked to scale back our holiday plans.

So, what to do with a long weekend without the big get togethers? Here are some alternatives for you to consider.

Get Outside & Enjoy Nature
One option is to get out and explore the great outdoors. It’s not only a more COVID-friendly activity, but it’s also the perfect way to catch a glimpse of the beautiful fall colours.
A nice long walk also provides some exercise after a lovely meal, or builds up your appetite if you choose to go out before you eat.

Getting outdoors and enjoying the natural beauty all around us helps reduce anger, fear and stress and increases satisfying feelings and creates moments of joy that rise above the routine and mundane.

Connect Virtually

After your walk or hike, you can get together with friends and family virtually with Zoom, FaceTime, Skype or Facebook Messenger.

It's not the same as being together in person, but seeing each other and hearing each others voices will remind us that we still have much to be thankful for and have much to look forward to.

Make the most of some "Me Time"

Although most of us would rather be together with a group of friends and loved ones, spending Thanksgiving with just those in our household does provide the opportunity for some quality "Me Time".

Making some time each day for some self care will enable us to deal better with the unique stress and strain the current situation puts us all under. Soaking in your Sundance hot tub in the crisp, cool air over the Thanksgiving weekend gives you the opportunity to really, truly relax.

Let the clean, warm water melt away the stress and strain of pandemic life and allow the soothing atmosphere and rejuvenating massage recharge your mind and refresh your body.

All of us here at The Sundance Spa Store would like to wish you all a very safe and happy Thanksgiving weekend!
