A Hot Tub for The Cottage
Water is a key element of many great cottage memories: the peace of an early morning canoe. A sunny day spent swimming and enjoying the beach. Watching the sun set over the lake after dinner. Adding a Sundance Hot Tub to your cottage will take your experience to a new level and make your vacation time even more memorable!
Some cottagers prefer to rough it when they leave the city, but for those who like a little luxury, it doesn't’t get much better than a Sundance Hot Tub. Whether you use it to soothe sore muscles after a day of Swimming, Canoeing & Kayaking or just to soak and enjoy as you hang out together late at night basking in the beauty of the cool, starry night sky.
Here are five things to consider as you contemplate putting a Sundance Hot Tub at your Cottage:
What is the Best Size Hot Tub for us?
Sundance Spas have Hot Tubs in a variety of shapes and sizes which makes it easy to find the Hot Tub that is perfect for your needs at the Cottage.
From Compact Corner Unit's such as the Tacoma, to the traditional round tub (The Denali, Pictured above), all the way up to the Mighty Maxxus, Sundance has a Hot Tub that will work perfectly in the space you have available.
Some people are concerned that they only have a fairly small amount of space on the deck that they want to dedicate to a Hot Tub and therefore the Hot Tub will not perform as well as the big unit they have at home. The beauty of smaller Sundance Hot Tubs, such as the 780 Series Dover or 880 Series Capri is that they offer the same powerful performance as the larger Hot Tubs, but with a space saving smaller footprint. With a Hot Tub from Sundance Spas, you do not have to sacrifice quality to get a tub in the size that works best for you.
When choosing which model will best suit your needs you will want to consider how many people are generally going to be using the Hot Tub. Will it mainly be just one or two people soaking together, or are you expecting larger numbers of people to be going in to the Hot Tub regularly? We recommend coming in to the showroom to sit in a variety of Hot Tubs to get a better feel for which size will best meet your needs.
When planning your Sundance Hot Tub installation, you will want to position your new Hot Tub in such a way as to give you the best view possible!
When you are looking at potential spots for your Hot Tub keep in mind that access to the equipment area (located beneath the control panel) is required for general maintenance and occasional service work so you should keep the front panel easily accessible.
Your Hot Tubs Cover can either be placed on the ground next to the Hot Tub, or a Cover Lifter, such as the Cover Mate I or Cover Mate III can be added. they will make getting in and out of your Hot Tub a little easier, and can act as a kind of windbreaker and also provide some extra privacy. Keep where you are going to put the Hot Tubs Cover in mind when you are deciding on the perfect location for your new Hot Tub.
When deciding which model of Sundance Hot Tub will be best for your time at the Cottage, you will want to consider whether you are going to permanently hard wire the Hot Tub for year round use, or if you would rather install a Plug 'N Play model that can be connected to any regular electrical outlet whenever you visit the Cottage.
The Sundance Spa Store has a number of different Plug 'N Play models available in a wide variety of colours.
Plug 'N Play Hot Tubs have become more and more popular in Cottage Country as there is no electrical installation cost, generally a lower initial cost and the Plug 'N Play models are generally smaller and lighter and therefore are a bit more portable - so you can take it to the cottage for the summer and then bring it back home with you to enjoy year round!
You go the Cottage to relax, and your new Hot Tub should add to the relaxation not stress you out with a ton of maintenance to keep the water nice and clean!
Sundance Hot Tubs are designed to keep maintenance and chemical use to a minimum. With the ClearRay UV-C Water Purification System included as standard on all Sundance Hot Tub models and the 780, 880 & Select Series offering MicroClean Filtration keeping your water clean and clear is a breeze!
If you are not at the Cottage year round, you should winterize your Hot Tub when you close it down for the year to ensure easy start up the next time you visit. The Sundance Spa Store is pleased to offer a Winterization service, just contact our Service Department for more information.
While it may not be the most important reason to add a Sundance Hot Tub to your vacation home, keep in mind that it will add to your property value, and make it more desirable for any potential clients if you are planning on renting the cottage out from time to time.
